Trump's disregard for the rule of law is dangerous

It’s wild how Trump thinks he can just fire Jerome Powell whenever he wants, like he’s some sort of king or something. Ngl, this kind of power grab undermines the very foundations of our democracy and the rule of law. The Federal Reserve is supposed to be independent, and when a president tries to exert control over it, it raises serious questions about their respect for our institutions. We can’t let a leader treat the Constitution like a suggestion, and the fact that he thinks he can just toss people around like pawns is a huge red flag. We need to hold leaders accountable, not let them play fast and loose with our democratic norms. Jesus hugging Trump might be a meme, but the reality is that we need a leader who respects the separation of powers and the checks and balances that keep our democracy intact. If we want to preserve what’s left of our democratic values, we can’t let this kind of behavior slide.
