Trump's dangerous pardons and their implications

One of the most concerning aspects of Trump's presidency has been his approach to pardons. Take the case of Juan Orlando Hernandez, the former president of Honduras, who was pardoned despite being linked to drug trafficking and corruption. This kind of decision sends a dangerous message about accountability and the rule of law. It feels like a slap in the face to those who believe in justice and fair governance. Then there's the issue of how Trump's administration has treated drug-related crime in the U.S. Instead of focusing on rehabilitation and addressing the root causes of addiction, his policies often seemed to favor harsh penalties and, ironically, pardoning individuals who perpetuated the drug crisis. This disconnect is alarming, especially when we consider the health and safety of our communities. And let's not forget the science behind climate change. While the world is grappling with environmental crises, Trump has shown a blatant disregard for scientific consensus. His actions have not only undermined environmental protections but also put future generations at risk. We need leaders who prioritize scientific evidence and take meaningful action on climate issues, not those who turn a blind eye for political gain.

ngl, the whole pardon situation is just so messed up - like how can you even justify that? it’s wild to think he’s just handing out get-out-of-jail-free cards to people who seriously messed up - what about the people who actually need help instead of more punishment? and the climate stuff is just as bad - it’s like he doesn’t even care about the future...
